I am a graphic designer obsessed with color...

My work is colorful and vibrant with contrast in bold shapes and typography that at times references youth sports culture and nature. Color takes precedence and is often thought of and chosen first to set the tone for the rest of the projects. Along with the consideration of color, I am a processed based artist. I view process and execution as primary components when it comes to art and design. With these components, I allow myself the opportunity to explore different directions in projects and exercise appreciation in the creative process within the structure of design principles.

Influenced by my traditional fine art background and education, my approach to design encapsulates a multitude of artistic principles that enhances and strengthens my approach towards projects.  It gives my work a unique quality and allows me to merge the two skills to create interesting and dynamic work that caters to individuals. My approach to color in my design work takes precedence in my projects. My traditional background, while giving me the fundamental structure, was restrictive in its use of color and I found that my work at the time was ridged. Now as a designer I have appreciation for color, and it is always fresh and exciting when approaching new projects.

As a result, I feel that my work has a distinct style that caters to a youthful and fresh environment. I feel this gives me flexibility in the industry and I am able to work with variety of client projects. The resulting goal is to reach a wide variety of people and for them to be as excited by my color and process-based work as I am.
